摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a roll arrangement of a brightening machine which reduces the heat loss of heating rolls at a slight cost expenditure when a prescribed paper quality is obtained by making it possible to easily and rapidly introduce a material sheet into a roll nip of a pair of press rolls, at one of which is heated. CONSTITUTION: At least one press roll (3) of the brightening machine for passing the material sheet (1) into the roll nip (4) formed between the pair of the press rolls (2 and 3) and subjecting the material sheet (1) to a brightening treatment is heated. At least one another roll (8, 9 or 14) is disposed before and/or behind the roll nip (4). These rolls are made movable within the traveling path of the material sheet (1) in such a manner that the winding angel of the material sheet (1) on the heated press roll (3) increases. The simple and rapid introduction of the material sheet (1) is made possible, and further, the heat loss of the heated roll (3) is lessened.
