SOLUTION: A portable computer as this electronic equipment is provided with a computer main body and the computer main body is provided with a lower housing 6. To the lower housing 6, a holding mechanism 51 for holding a battery pack in a battery housing part 20 is attached. The holding mechanism 51 is provided with an operation body 52, a lock member 53 and a return spring 54. The operation body 52 is provided with an operation part 61 and a wall part 62, the wall part 62 is provided with a locking part 71 for locking the engaging part of the battery pack and the operation body 52 is movable between a lock position where the locking part 71 locks the engaging part and an unlock position where it releases the engaging part. The return spring 54 energizes the operation body 52 to the lock position. The lock member 53 is attached to the operation part 61 movably between a first position for controlling the movement of the operation body 52 and a second position for allowing the movement.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the brightness of a light emitting diode from decreasing and to diffuse light in two directions by providing a display member which has a staircase- shaped light incidence surface where the light of the light emitting diode is made incident and a reflecting surface for guiding the incident light to an upper end display surface or front end display surface. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is equipped with a housing 1 which connects from its top surface to the front surface and has display holes formed, light emitting diodes which are provided inside the display holes, upper end display surfaces 21a arranged in the display holes formed in the top surface, and front display surfaces 21b arranged in the display holes formed in the front surface. Further, the equipment is equipped with the display member 17 having the staircase-shaped light incidence surface 21d where the light from the light emitting diodes is made incident and the reflecting surface 21e which reflects the light, made incident and then reflected, and guides the reflected light to the upper end display surface 21a or front display surface 21b. Thus, the reflecting surface 21e guides the incident light to the upper end display surface 21a or front end display surface 21b, thereby brightening both the upper end display surface 21a and front end display surface 21b. Consequently, the brightness is prevented from decreasing and the light can be diffused in the two directions.

    • PURPOSE:To simply and surely ensure the mechanical connection between a computer and a unit by providing a unit main body storing a parts whose function is to be extended, a store stage containing a guide means to be positioned, a slide connector, and a slide mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a handle/leg 41 is put on the front edge of a store stage 3, a projecting end 43 of the leg 41 is stored in an auxiliary guide 7. Under such conditions, a portable computer 31 is pushed toward an extension unit 1. Thus the leg 41 is put into a hollow part 23 of a groove 5, and the unit 1 is mechanically connected to the computer 31. Then a control lever stopper mechanism is cancelled for a 2nd lever 21 and a 1st lever 11 is operated so that a slide connector 9 is connected to an extension connector 33. The communication is attained between the unit 1 and the computer 31 with the electrical connection secured between them. As a result, the sure connection is secured between the computer 31 and the unit 1 with no application of a complicated constitution.
