摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a thin cast slab without internal crack by a continuous casting of adopting rolling reduction of an unsolidified part. CONSTITUTION: The rolling reduction amt. of the cast slab is controlled so that a total strain ε cansed at a solidified interface in the cast slab during casting lies below the critical strain of internal crack εcr derived from the following equations (1) and (2). ε=2.59-0.017×ΔT... 摘要： PURPOSE: To lower the cost of a parts and to reduce an installation cost by feeding back the measured value from a sensor to a cylinder for driving long sides so as to control gap between the side wall surfaces of the long side and a short side. CONSTITUTION: In the horizontal oscillating mold, the mold is constituted of one pair of the mold long sides 1, 1 arranged to face the front and the rear sides and one pair of the mold short sides 2 forcedly arranged at the right and the left sides between the long sides. The hydraulic cylinders 4, 4 for driving the long side are connected with one pair of the long sides 1, 1 and a hydraulic cylinder for adjusting the short side width is connected with the short side 2. Gap sensors 9, 9' are arranged at the wall surface of the short side 2 facing the long sides 1. The measured values from the sensors 9, 9' are comparison- calculated with the setting value from a gap setter 10 and a control device 11. The gap of the long and the short sides is controlled by working a servo valve 13 and the cylinder 4 through the signal of a long side control part 12, 12'. By this method, the possibility developing the leakage of the molten metal can be reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the internal crack in a cast slab by acting compressive force in the axial direction of the cast slab in a rolling reduction zone and also, in the transverse direction of the cast slab. CONSTITUTION:By executing the rolling reduction to the solidified shells 3 in the cast slab 1 incorporating an unsolidified part 2 with saddle type rolls 10 so that the rolling reduction speed becomes continuously larger as approaching to the edge parts from the center part in the transverse direction, the compressive force in the transverse direction of the solidified shell 3 in the cast slab 1 is produced and the widening of the width of the cast slab 1 is restrained. While pushing out the cast slab 1 by imparting the driving force of the arrow mark 21 with the driving pinch rolls 20 in an upstream side provided on the rolling reduction starting part or just before the rolling reduction below the mold 6, the braking force of the arrow mark 23 is applied to the cast slab 1 by braking pinch rolls 22 at the outlet of the rolling reduction zone 11 or in the downstream side thereof impart the brake to the shifting. By this method, the compressive force is acted in the axial direction of the cast slab in the rolling reduction zone 11. The internal crack in the cast slab produced at the time of executing the rolling reduction just below the mold can be prevented.

Then, at the time of the electric power- down, the oil pressure of the attracting cylinder 10A comes off and one pair of the long side frames 1, 2 are mutually attracted with the spring 16. As this attracting force has the force for overcoming the static pressure of molten metal in the mold, any gap between the long side frames 1, 3 and the short side frames 3, 4 is not developed, and breakout is not developed.

It is judged that this obtained length d/(the thickness of the cast slab/2)×100% is the equiaxed crystal ratio, and the casting is performed.
