SOLUTION: The operation device 1 comprises a body part 12, an operation shaft 11 and a knob 6. The operation shaft 11 is supported by the body part 12 in an oscillating manner in multiple directions with one end 11a as a center. The body part 12 has a plurality of detection switches. The detection switch detects that the operation shaft 11 is oscillated and brought into contact with one end 11a. The knob 6 is mounted on the operation shaft 11. The knob 6 consists of flat faces and ridges. The ridges are provided between adjacent flat faces. The ridges are located between the detection switches adjacent to each other.
