    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impervious wall structure in which an impervious material layer contains always a required predetermined content of moisture to maintain a high imperviableness.
      SOLUTION: The impervious wall structure is provided with the impervious material layer 17 formed by filling a space 16 formed in a sand guard wall provided in soil with an impervious material having a deformability. In the structure, an upper end surface of the impervious material layer 17 is closed by a moisture maintenance means inside the impervious material layer which is formed in layers for maintaining the moisture inside the impervious material layer 17, that is, a water storage section 21 the inside of which is in contact with the upper end surface of the impervious material layer 17 is provided, and water 22 for drying prevention is stocked in the water storage section 21.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the position and the size of a water leak spot not only in a general disposal site but also in a sea surface disposal site, concerning a water leak position detection system.
      SOLUTION: This water leak position detection system is constituted to calculate the water leak spot 11 of an impervious sheet 4 and its rough size of the impervious sheet 4 laid on the bottom surface of the inclined surface of the disposal site 2, a pulse transmission means 5 disposed on one surface side of the impervious sheet, pulse receiving means 6 disposed on a plurality of spots on the other surface side of the impervious sheet, a pulse transmission/reception control device 7 connected electrically to the pulse transmission means and the pulse receiving means, for transmitting/receiving the pulse, and a program 8 for calculating the water leak position by a time from pulse transmission until pulse reception, and calculating the rough size of a hole on the water leak spot by the magnitude of the received pulse.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of an impervious sheet having a follow-up capability to a laid ground surface while securing the impervious performance and the shearing strength of a joining part when the impervious sheet is joined with fasteners such as bolts.
      SOLUTION: An intermediate water cutoff band member 15 is disposed between impervious sheets 1, 2 to be joined to each other at the overlapped portion. Upper and lower water cutoff band members 16, 17 are disposed on upper side of the impervious sheet 1 at the uppermost part and on the lower side of the impervious sheet 2 at the lowermost part, respectively. Flexible retaining plates 20, 21 are placed on the upper and lower sides of these members, respectively. A large number of fastening flat plates 5, 8 at the upper and lower parts are placed on the outer surfaces of the upper and lower flexible retaining plates at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the retaining plates, respectively. The upper and lower fastening flat plates are fastened to each other with bolts 6 and nuts 10 to join both impervious sheets 1, 2 to each other. Reinforcement wires 22, 23 are so disposed on the band-like water cut-off members at the upper surface side, the lower surface side, and the intermediate part as to fasten the large number of bolts 6 arranged parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the overlapped portion.
