    • PURPOSE:To revise the length of M series code without changing circuit components by setting the signal of a prescribed bit location of a counter to '1', and applying ther resulting signal to a shift register when the counter counts the clock pulse of the shift register by number of stages of the register. CONSTITUTION:The output (c) of a 2nd bit location QC of a counter 7 goes to '1' when four clock pulses (a) are inputted and four 0s are outputted from the Q output of a D flip-flop 1. The signal of level '1' is fed to the D input of the D flip-flop 1 via an exclusive OR gate 6 and the Q output (b) of the flip-flop goes to '1' at the time of starting the succeeding clock pulse (a). When the number of stages of a shift register is increased to extend the length of the code, the bit location of the counter 7 to set '1' to the shift register is shifted from the 2nd bit location QC to a 3rd bit location QD. Thus, the number of stages of the shift registers is increased up to 8 stages. Then the number of stages of shift registers is revised.

    • PURPOSE:To generate a warning signal, which is easily formed, without an influence of noise by using the detection output of the frequency difference between outputs of an oscillating circuit and a receiver as a decision signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal whose frequency is continuously and periodically changed is outputted from oscillating circuits 1 to 2. That is, the signal subjected to FM modulation is outputted from a transmitter 4, and an FM modulated wave (c) is reflected on a detection object D and is received by a receiver 5. When the difference frequency between output signals of oscillating circuits 1 to 3 and the receiver 5 is detected, a large frequency difference is outputted. A certain frequency is added to this frequency difference by frequency sum detecting circuits 8 and 9, and the addition output is integrated by a detecting circuit of the like, and the integral output and a reference voltage are compared with each other by a comparing circuit. It is discriminated whether measurement is possible or not by the comparison result. Since a sensor takes the signal passing frequency difference detecting circuits 6 and 7 as decision materials in this manner, the warning signal is easily generated without an influence of noise.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a detected distance from being varied due to a temperature variation, by stopping the sampling, when a noise component is superposed on a receiving signal, and fetching exactly a temperature signal. CONSTITUTION:A temperature of a sensor part 2 is detected by a temperature detecting circuit 8. An output from an ultrasonic vibrator 5 and an output of the temperature detecting circuit 8 are added by an adder 7, and sent out to an amplifying unit 1 through a detecting circuit 9. A sample holding circuit 24 of the amplifying unit 1 samples only a temperature signal from an output of the detecting circuit 9. This sample holding circuit 24 is brought to a non- operation, when a noise is detected by a comparing circuit 23. From a detecting gate generating circuit 26, a gate signal of pulse width corresponding to a temperature is outputted, and applied to a signal processing circuit 28. By the signal processing circuit 28, an object within a prescribed range is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To dispense with two oscillating means and, in addition, an oscillator of high precision to be used for an instrument and thereby to reduce the cost by prohibiting input of an output signal of an oscillating means to either a first or second frequency-dividing means periodically for a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:A first frequency-divider 4 divides the frequency of an output pulse (a) of an oscillator 2 into 1/8 and outputs a pulse (b) thus obtained to drive a first M-series generator 10. A second frequency-divider 6 divides the frequency of a pulse (c) supplied from a prohibiting means 8 into 1/8 and outputs a pulse (d) thus obtained to drive a second M-series generator 12. An AND gate 820 prohibits the output pulse (a) of the oscillator 2 from being inputted to the second frequency-divider 6 through counters 804 and 806. Every time when the output pulse (a) is counted by fifty-six, in other words, the input pulse to the second frequency-divider 6 is delayed by one clock. According to this constitution, a phase difference occurs between M-series pulses generated by the first and second M-series generating means 10 and 12 and thus a distance to an object of detection can be determined without using two oscillating means.

    • PURPOSE:To compensate the temperature characteristic of a comparator section at the comparator section itself by adding an output saturation voltage of a 2nd comparator having the equal temperature characteristic to a signal voltage to be modulated by the comparator. CONSTITUTION:A voltage Vp being the sum of a signal voltage Vs resulting from a voltage across a resistor R caused by a signal current I1 flowing thereto and an output saturation voltage of a comparator 3 is inputted to a noninverting input terminal of an operational amplifier 1. Thus, suppose that the output saturation voltage of the comparators 2, 3 is identical by taking the temperature characteristic into account, then the peak value of the modulation signal is equal to a signal voltage Vs regardless of the temperature. Thus, when the resistance of a resistor Rc is set so that load currents I2, I3 of the comparators 2, 3 are nearly equal to each other, the output saturated voltage and its temperature characteristic of the comparators 2, 3 in one and same package are nearly equal to each other and the temperature characteristic of the output saturation voltage of the comparator 2 is compensated.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of an optical axis of an optical fiber by varying the number of radiation pulses per unit time from a light emitting element based on a light received quantity so as to discriminate whether or not the optical axis is coincident depending on the luminous quality of a projecting optical fiber and the period of blink. CONSTITUTION:The switch is provided with discriminating means 15-19 discriminating the light received quantity obtained through a light receiving optical fiber 8 for each prescribed period and a light emitting means 14 varying a radiation pulse number per unit time of a light emitting element 6 based on the received light quantity discriminated by the discriminating means 15-19 and driving intermittently a light emitting element 6, and when the optical axis of the optical fibers 7, 8 is aligned, the light emitting element 6 is driven intermittently by the light emitting means 14 and the light received quantity obtained through the light receiving optical fiber 8 for each prescribed period is discriminated by the discriminating means 15-19 to vary the number of radiating light pulses of the light emitting element 6 based on the discriminated received light quantity. Thus, the intensity of the light beam radiating from the end face of the light emitting optical fiber as the optical axis is made aligned at the optical axis alignment and no trouble is imposed on the adjustment.

    • PURPOSE:To enable employment of a frequency multiplier circuit being inexpensive and responding at a high speed by providing a detecting means for receiving a signal of some frequency and a signal having a fixed frequency as inputs and detecting a frequency of the sum of the two frequencies added up. CONSTITUTION:A multiplication output of a frequency multiplier circuit 28 is given to a counter 30 through a gate circuit 29. the counter 30 executes a counting operation for a time width tau wherein a gate control signal (i) is at a level of 'High'. Before a gate output is delivered from the gate circuit 29, this counter 30 outputs binary data set beforehand at D1, D2... Dn according to a load signal K outputted from a reference clock generating circuit 21, from output terminals Q1, Q2... Qn. A count output of the counter 30 is written in a D/A converter 31 at a timing of 'Low' of a write signal l, and thereby an offset and a gain of an amplifier 32 are adjusted. In this way, the frequency multiplier circuit being inexpensive and responding at a high speed can be employed, which contributes to the reduction of the cost.
