    • PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking and deformation in calcination by making the heating rate of a ceramic molded body to the decomposition temp. of a molding aid slower than that from the decomposition temp. to the sintering temp. CONSTITUTION:A molding aid consisting of a binder such as methylcellulose, CMC, and PVA and a lubricant such as a surfactant and wax is added to the raw material of talc, kaolin, and alumina to obtain a body which is extrusion-molded. In this case, a preheating zone 1, a calcining zone 2, and a remaining-heat zone 3 are provided, a combustion gas exhaust fan 4 is furnished at the low-temp. part on the inlet side of the preheating zone 1, and a high-temp. gas exhaust fan 5 is provided at the high- temp. part on the outlet side of the preheating zone 1 to constitute a tunnel kiln. The combustion gas generated from a burner 6 in the calcining zone 2 is sucked by the exhaust fan of the preheating zone 1 to generate a combustion gas current. The desired amt. of the hightemp. gas is sucked and exhausted by the exhaust fan 5 at the midway of the current to make the heating rate to the decomposition temp. of the molding aid lower than that from the decomposition temp. to the sintering temp., and the body is preheated, then sent to the calcining zone, and sintered.

    • PURPOSE:To improve workability in shelf assemblying operation and restrict projection of shelf plats when horizontal settings of shelf plates are carried out by a method wherein a some plates of clay material and of a honeycomb structure are disposed at connecting locations between shelf plates disposed in a horizontal direction and the supporting columns for supporting the shelf plates from a vertical direction in respect to a plane of the shelf plates. CONSTITUTION:Supporting columns 8 are mounted on one shelf plate 7a, and the other shelf plate 7b is mounted on the supporting columns 8. In this case, the shelf plate 7b is held horizontal in respect to the shelf plate 7a. Due to this fact, in order to set a horizontal orientation, a load is applied between the supporting column 8 and the shelf plate 7b and then a plate member 10 which can be compressed is disposed. A load is applied from above the shelf plate 7b and the plate 10 is compressed to be broken, lateral inclination of the shelf plate is adjusted to make a horizontal setting of it. Since the compressed plate material 10 is of a honeycomb structure, its cells are broken and walls forming the cells are overlapped to each other while several deformed clearances being left and then an irregular layer is formed. In this way, since the broken pieces of the plate member 10 enter the cells when the plate material 10 is broken, so that a part of the plate material 10 is prevented from being widely projected out of the side of the supporting columns 8 under compressed state of the plate material 10.
