    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in visibility and to reduce feeling of eye fatigue by making at least one of a columnar diopter and an axial columnar direction mutually different in plural visual acuity correction areas. SOLUTION: In a short sight correction area 12 and a long sight correction area 14, not only a spherical lens diopter but also the columnar diopter and the axial columnar direction are set at mutually different values. Thus, in the determined short and long sight correction areas 12 and 14, corresponding to a difference in the astigmatic state of an eye between a shortsighted observation state and a longsighted observation state, at least any one of the axial columnar direction and the columnar diopter is set mutually different. As a result, the astigmatic state of the eye peculiar in the shortsighted observation state is effectively corrected by the lens diopter for astigmatism correction set in the short sight correction area 12, and the astigmatic state of the eye peculiar for the longsighted observation state is effectively corrected by the lens diopter for astigmatism correction set to the long sight correction area 14.
