    • PURPOSE:To enable accessing at a high speed by constituting the optical pickup so that a hole housing a reflecting mirror is provided in an object lens holder and the object lens holder can move to a position where the holder shades the light path from an optical section. CONSTITUTION:A object lens 9, a focus coil 10, and a tracking coil 1 are attached to a object lens holder 8, and held by a shaft 5. And a reflecting mirror 4 is arranged in a reflecting mirror side of the object lens holder 8, also a hole 12 is formed so as not to make the object lens holder 8 come into contact with the reflecting mirror 4 even if tracking operation is performed. By using this constitution, the object lens holder can be withdrawn to a position where light path from a fixed optical section is shaded by it at the time of withdrawing, and driving at the position lower than conventional driving position can be performed without shading light path in ordinary driving state. Therefore, accessing at a high speed is attained and the optical pickup can be made to be a thin type.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the printing sound of a printing head from being leaked outside a case and to lower a noise level outside the case by providing a soundproof wall which is slidably supported by a support member, rotatably held at a support part, pressed by a pressing means against a member for depressing a printing medium on a platen, and pressed against the case at the end part thereof. CONSTITUTION:At the time of a printing action, a paper presser roller 13 is positioned on an operation position. A flap 16 is so pressed by a spring 17 that one end is pressed toward the paper presser roller 13 and the other end is pressed toward an upper cover 21. In the structure, the upper surface of a printing head 1 is sealed by an outer cover 14, the upper cover 21, the flap 16, the paper presser roller 13, and a platen 2 without preventing a recording paper feed action. Recording paper 3 is guided by the flap 16 at the time of the insertion action of the recording paper 3, thus never abutting against the upper cover 21 and generating a trouble. Furthermore, a printing sound generated by the impact of the printing wire of the printing head 1 against the platen 2 hardly leaks outside the outer case 14 and the upper cover 21 because the upper part of the printing head 1 is sealed. Therefore, the noise level outside printer is greatly reduced.
