摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate wireless protocol for a mobile communication system.SOLUTION: With regard to the wireless protocol for a mobile communication system, particularly in E-UMTS which is evolved from UMTS, a device and a method for executing the protocols of a PDCP layer and an RLC layer are provided. The PDCP layer encrypts data (for example, PDCP SDU) received from an upper-level layer, generates an indicator for distinguishing the encrypted data from a non-encrypted data (for example, ROHC feedback packet directly generated by the PDCP layer), and transmits to a lower-level layer (for example, MAC layer) the encrypted data together with the indicator. The encryption is made by the definition of PDCP SN using algorithm for the data encryption.
