摘要： PURPOSE:To extend a life of oil by decreasing overhanging laterally outward of an out-crank chamber oil storage, so that a device can be applied also for a multicylinder engine without generating a pulsating pressure in the crank chamber, and further to decrease deterioration of oil. CONSTITUTION:An out-crank chamber oil storage 58 is additionally provided in a side face external part in an opposite side to a cylinder 21 of a crank chamber 51 of an horizontal engine E. A side wall 60 on a distant side from the cylinder 21 of this out-crank chamber oil storage 58 is formed almost along a shaft orthogonal surface to a cylinder axial center 20. An in-crank chamber oil receiver 52 is provided in the crank chamber 51, to communicate with the out-crank chamber oil storage 58 through an interchamber communication part 61. A blowby gas pressure Pb generated in the crank chamber 51 is utilized to constitute an interchamber oil transfer means P, and oil in the crank chamber 51 is transferred to the out-crank oil storage 58.

摘要： PURPOSE:To apply the engine to a multiple cylinder engine which is simple in structure and does not generate pulsation pressure in a crank chamber, and also reduce deterioration of oil and prolong the service life thereof. CONSTITUTION:An oil receiving chamber 52 inside a crank chamber is communicated with an oil storing chamber 58 outside the crank chamber through an inter-chamber communication part 61. An inter-chamber oil feed means P is constituted by using a pressure Pb of blowby gas BG generated in the crank chamber 51 by the operation of an engine. A specified oil level L0 is set at a position lower than the lower surface of a crank arm 25a and the lower side of a cylinder hole 21. By the operation of the engine, a blowby gas pressure Pb in the crank chamber 51 increased and an oil level L1 in the oil receiving chamber 52 inside the crank chamber is lowered to the specified oil level L0 to transfer oil to the oil storing chamber 58 outside the crank chamber.

摘要： PURPOSE:To exhaust oil easily and securely by flowing oil in recessed parts in which multiple parts can be stored, by action of gravity, to an oil exhausting port provided in the recessed part at the lowest position through an oil feed groove formed in the partition for the recessed parts. CONSTITUTION:In a vertical shaft engine E, recessed parts 90 to 94 to store multiple component parts 36 to 41 provided inside a gear case 15, respectively, are formed in a bottom wall 30 of the gear case 15 provided on the underside of a cylinder block 11. Also the recessed parts 90 to 94 are divided by a partition 97. In addition, an oil exhausting port 95 is opened in the bottom wall 30, and the hole is opened and closed by an opening and closing fixture 95. With the constitution stated above, an oil feed groove 98 is formed in the partition 97. On the other hand, an oil exhausting port 95 is provided at the bottom of the recessed part 94 that is positioned at the lowest. Then the oil in the recessed parts 90 to 94 is flown, by the action of gravity, to the recessed part 95 at the lowest position through the oil feed groove 98. Thus oil can be exhausted easily and securely.

Gaseous phase spaces 59 in the crank-chamber-outside oil storage chamber are communicated with each other. Moreover, A blow-by gas outlet in one crank-chamber-outside oil storage chamber 58 is communicated with an oil separator 76. As a result, the oil storage chamber is made smaller, decreased a protrusion from a crankcase, and arranged it with the projection area part of auxiliary machinery overlapped. It is thus possible to decrease the side width of the whole engine.

This constitution causes improvement of lubricating ability of the engaging part 6 even when an amount of contact of blowby gas with the engaging part 6 is increased and prevents the occurrence of seizure between the engaging part 6 and the flange 4 even when an engine is run at a high speed for a long time.

The tip section of the lubricant guide hole 12 is opened on the cam shaft side face of the connecting rod 10, and its base end section is opened on the bearing face 15 of a crank pin 14. A lubricant pressure feed path 17 formed on the crank pin 14 and the base end section of the lubricant guide hole 12 are communicated together only when the tip opening section 22 of the lubricant guide hole 12 is moved near the valve system cam shaft 6.

Lower part space 21 in a head cover 3 is connected through this oil return passage 22 to an oil receiving chamber 14 arranged in a lower side of the cylinder block 1.
