摘要： PURPOSE:To accumulate heat efficiently, by forming temperature layers between the top and the bottom of a tank by converting momentum of a heat medium into a uniform flow of the heat medium discharged or drawn through porous partition plates disposed at an upper and a lower portions of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Porous partition plates 15, 16 are disposed under a discharge port 4' and a suction port 6' located at an upper portion of a heat accumulating tank and above a discharge port 5' and a suction port 7', respectively. These partition plates 15, 16 are both formed with many holes 17 through which a heat medium is passed. With such an arrangement, flow of the heat medium in the tank is rendered uniform and stratification of the temperature layer in the tank is promoted, so that heat loss due to diffusion and mixing can be reduced extremely.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a device, which can measure even the quantity of defectiveness in a simple, prompt and accurate manner, by providing a detecting element for oscillating ultrasonic beam and a detecting element for receiving the same and by equidistantly moving and scanning the two elements on one side of a mother material in the opposite direction by means of a jig. CONSTITUTION:In case the welded portion C between a column A and a beam B is to be inspected, only the width W of the beam B is measured from the welded portion C and a point O is set at the center point for the flaw detection. First, both a transmitting flaw detecting element 7 for generating ultrasonic beam at a deflection angle of 45 degrees and a receiving flaw detecting element 9 are placed at the side of the beam B thereby to set the sensitivity of the ultrasonic flaw detector and to mark the detection position of a defective echo. A table 1 having a gear 2 and arms 4 and 6 is fixed at the point O of the beam B, and the detecting elements 7 and 9 are placed on a plate having the same thickness as that of the beam B so that they are fixed by fixing shafts 8 and 9. A contact medium such as glycerin is used to equidistantly move the elements 7 and 9 in the opposite direction to that of arrow for the scanning purpose so that the change in the level of the echo is measure. The defective area is presumed in comparison with the test results of the known test piece. Thus it is possible to detect the flow of the whole welded surface accurately and promptly.
