    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and simplify fixing of magnets of a permanent magnet rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes: a rotor which is fixed rotatably to a frame, has a plurality of permanent magnets arranged on the circumference of the rotor, and includes laminated steel plates; and a stator so fixed to the frame as to be opposite to the rotor.       SOLUTION: The permanent magnet synchronous motor is configured such that the slot width is constant relative to the radial direction, the slot bottom is arc-shaped to have a half length of the slot width as its radius, and a magnetic pole piece extending in the circumferential direction from the teeth inner circumferential end toward the center of the slot width. Thus, the leakage in the magnetic flux of the slot can be reduced to be used as an effective magnetic flux, so that a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a high torque and high performance can be provided.
