摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the title method and device so designed that the operations such as exchange with full-loaded laps and lap piecing carried out when laps are made into a cheese on a comber are performed with a simpler mechanism, and also high-quality comber slivers can be obtained without causing mechanical failures and environmental degradation. CONSTITUTION:The fleece of a cheese-shaped laps 8 is cut by inverting a feed roller 9 while said laps 8 are pressed toward the lap feed roller 9 to restrict the cut region for the fleece within a narrow range; concurrently, the tip of the fleece of a fullloaded laps 7 is held through a suction nozzle 6 and superposed on the rear end of the preceding fleece. It is more preferable that the superposed portion be pressed with the suction nozzle 6.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a cotton comber sufficiently durable even to high-speed revolution, by using a pair of mutually engaged noncircular gears fixed to a cylinder shaft and a nipper shaft respectively and having outer contours shaped to particular forms. CONSTITUTION:Noncircular gears 12, 13 are fixed to a cylinder shaft 10 and a nipper shaft 11 respectively and the nipper shaft 11 is oscillated by the mutual engagement of the gears. In a cotton comber having the above construction, the contours of the noncircular gears 12, 13 are made in the following manner. The angular velocity ratio - displacement curve between two noncircular gears has tow peaks and valleys having different heights. The angular velocity ratio at the higher peak is =0.53.

摘要： PURPOSE:To keep the gauge between the front end of a cushion plate and needles of a combing cylinder at a constant value as much as possible, by supporting a nipper frame for mounting the cushion plate with a special quadric link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A fiber web fed by feed rolls 1 is held by the tip of a cushion plate 5 and a nipper knife and fed to needles of a combing cylinder 3 while retreating the cushion plate 5 and combed in a comber. In the above-mentioned comber, a nipper frame 4 holding the cushion plate 5 is supported by a quadric link mechanism constituted of the nipper frame 4, reciprocating and rotating shaft 10 pivoted by a combing machine frame at a position above the nipper frame 4, arm 11 having one end fixed on the shaft 10 and the other end connected to a back end part of the nipper frame 4 with a pin 9, fulcrum 7 fixed on the machine frame at the front position of the shaft 10 and arm 8 having one end thereof pivoted on the fulcrum 7 and the other end pivoted on the front position of the nipper frame 4 with a pin 6.
