    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress large drop of the blowout air temperature in a heat accumulation mode.
      SOLUTION: The voltage applied to a second pump is controlled so that the quantity of cooling water discharged from a heat accumulation tank is decreased as the opening SW of an air mix door is increased (as the quantity of air passing through a heater core is increased). Thus, as the opening SW of the air mix door is larger, and larger heating capacity is required, the quantity of cooling water at low temperature to be discharged from the heat accumulation tank is decreased. On the other hand, as the opening SW of the air mix door is smaller, and smaller heating capacity is required, the quantity of cooling water at low temperature to be discharged from the heat accumulation tank 6 is increased. Therefore, large drop of the temperature of cooling water fed in the heater core 8 can be prevented in the heat accumulation mode, and large drop of the blowout air can be suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a movement time for distributing a fuel to a whole wick and to accelerate rise of a combustion type heater by reducing a heating time of the wick itself.
      SOLUTION: This combustion type heater includes a fuel distribution means 11 disposed in front of the wick for distributing the fuel to the whole surface of the wick 10. The fuel distribution means comprises fuel distribution grooves 15 and a fuel dispersion plate 16 having a large number of holes bored therein. The fuel distribution means can quickly supply the fuel to the whole surface of the wick. In this application, to shorten the heating time of the wick, the heater uses means such as a wick heating glow plug 14b outside an ignition glow plug 14a, or a planar heater 18 in contact with the wick for heating the wick.

      SOLUTION: This cooling system is provided with a cooling water circuit 3a to circulate cooling water of an engine 1 through a radiator 5, a warm water circuit 3c to circulate warm water through the heater core 11, an air mix door 12 to adjust air quantity passing through the heater core, the heat accumulator 6 provided on a bypass passage 6 to distribute warm water to the heater core, a passage changing valve 9 to adjust distribution of warm water to the a heat accumulator and the hater core, and a control means 14 to control actuation to the air mix door and the passage changing valve. The control means controls the passage changing valve to send more warm water flow to the heater core than to the heat accumulator when air quantity passing through the heater core is a prescribed value or more.
