    • PURPOSE:To adjust adequately the depth of a tap hole and to execute stable tapping and slag discharge operations by providing a blast control valve to a blast branch pipe of a tuyere positioned upper than a tap hole and adjusting the flow rate of hot wind. CONSTITUTION:The blast control valve 7 is provided to a blast branch pipe 6 for supplying hot wind to the tuyere 3 positioned upper than the tap hole 2 of a blast furnace 1. The opening degree of the valve 7 is decreased to decrease the flow rate of the hot wind when the depth of the hole 2 is lower than the prescribed value. Then the flow of the gas near the hole 2 is made inactive by while the slag, etc. sticks to the hole 2 and the depth of the hole 2 is increased. The opening degree of the blast control valve is increased to increase the flow rate of the hot wind when the depth of the port 2 is higher than the prescribed value. Then the flow of the gas near the hole 2 is made more vigorous by which the slag, etc. sticking to the hole 2 are stripped and the depth of the hole 2 is decreased. The level of the molten iron 9 and slag 10 in the hearth 4 is thus made uniform and the tapping operation is continued without clogging the hole 2.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the effective utilization of a wet type blast furnace dust by a method wherein spigot accumulated in the lower part of a waste water pit is blown into the furnace from respective tuyeres of the blast furnace by controlling the concentration of slurry. CONSTITUTION:Washing water from the cleaning equipment of a blast furnace is recovered to a waste water pit 6 through a pipe line 11 and is effected natural sedimentation, therefore, they are separated to supernatant liquid 12 and the spigot 13 containing the blast furnace dust. The spigot 13 is drawn up by a waste water pump 4 and the concentration of the slurry is controlled by 30% by a moisture control device 8, then, it is sent to a mixing device 9 while the slurry is stirred in order to prevent to become impossible to send the liquid due to sedimentation of the blast furnace dust contained into the liquid, next, it is blown to the blast furnace from respective tuyeres 14 through the distributing device 10 of the slurry. According to this method, the wet type blast furnace dust is treated easily, moreover, it can utilize as effective iron source and heat source. Further, it is blown together with water to the blast furnace, therefore, it can use instead of humidity conditioning steam and may be effected the rationalization of the blast furnace.

    • PURPOSE: To produce cylindrical mini-briquettes and to reduce the production cost of sintered ore by mixing the pulverous powder raw material within an iron ore sintering raw material together with a binder by a high-speed stirrer and subjecting the raw material to moisture adjustment then molding the mixture to a prescribed shape by an extrusion machine.
      CONSTITUTION: The single material or raw material mixture 1 of ≥30% -4mm and -0.125mm out of the sintering raw material consisting essentially or iron ore is mixed with limestone, coke powder, etc., if necessary, and the mixture is intermittently charged into a KB mixer 5. The charged pulverous sintering raw material 1 is stirred at a high speed and mixed by rotating a rotary vane 53 and lower rotary vane 54 attached coaxially to a shaft holding device 6 at a high speed; at the same time, the moisture thereof is adjusted. The binder consisting essentially of waste alcohol liquid and quicklime powder is supplied from a binder tank 8 and is mixed with the mixture. The raw material mixture is then transferred to a disk extruder 10, by which the raw material is extruded and the cylindrical mini-briquettes having 1W5mm diameter and 1W10mm length are obtd. Such mini-briquettes are added as the sintering raw material to the sintered ore, by which the production cost of the sintering raw material is reduced.
