    • A NOx reduction device for an exhaust gas 10 includes: a tubular container 11; a mixing chamber 20 that is one of two rooms formed by dividing an inside of the container 11 in a direction orthogonal to a direction of an axis X of the container 11, the mixing chamber 20 extending from one end of the container 11 in the direction of the axis X to a point between the one end and the other end of the container in the direction of the axis X and allowing an exhaust gas of an engine flowed therein to be mixed with a reducing agent; a first reaction chamber 26 that is the other of the two rooms, the first reaction chamber 26 extending from the one end of the container 11 in the direction of the axis X to a point between the one end and the other end of the container in the direction of the axis X and containing a catalyst 28 that the exhaust gas coming from the mixing chamber 20 passes; and a second reaction chamber 27 that is formed on the other end of the container 11 in the direction of the axis X, the second reaction chamber 27 having a larger cross-sectional area orthogonal to the direction of the axis X than the first reaction chamber 26 and containing a catalyst 29 that the exhaust gas coming from the first reaction chamber 26 passes.

    • An engine 100 is provided with an engine body 1, a crankshaft 10, a cooling fan 6, an exhaust manifold 42, a supercharger 24, an ATD 43 that purifies exhaust gas, and a second exhaust pipe 52. When the height direction of the engine 100 is defined as a first direction, the crankshaft 10 extends in a second direction vertical to the first direction. The cooling fan 6 is disposed on one side of the engine body 1 in the second direction. The supercharger 24 is driven by the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold 42. The second exhaust pipe 52 connects the supercharger 24 and the ATD 43. The ATD 43 is disposed in an attitude in which the longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to the second direction. The second exhaust pipe 52 is connected to the cooling fan 6 side of the ATD 43 in the second direction. The second exhaust pipe 52 is disposed so as to pass laterally with respect to the exhaust manifold 42 and below the supercharger 24.
