摘要： A versatile method for the manufacturing of a natural fiber composite is provided, and a product thereof. The method, in accordance to the preferred embodiment, comprises crush-or impact grinding of fibrous feedstock, followed by classifying, mixing with diluting and/or bonding agent, optional foaming and shaping of the end product. A composite product manufactured by said method is provided. Treatment of fibrous feedstock by torrefaction may be utilized prior to crush-grinding in order to provide manufactured composites with novel properties. Natural fiber composite materials thus produced retain heat-, sound-and/or fire- insulating properties and may be utilized in different industries from automotive to decorative. The method is employed to re- utilize waste, recycled and side products of various industries, including forest, chemical-, mineral-and agro-industries.

[ Means for Achieving the Objects ] The web is made from a non-woody fibre pulp that is any one of fibres originating from gramineous, palmaceous and polygonaceous plants, or any mmixture of them. The gramineous plants are of a self-reproducing nature and the polygonaceous plants are any buckwheat. The web of this composition is rendered sheet-shaped before hot-pressed or dried to give concrete formwork articles, wallpapers or the coverings for Japanese sliding doors.

摘要： An acoustical panel has a fiberboard which includes a fibrous filler and a base binder, and a nodulated overlay disposed on the fiberboard, wherein the overlay includes nodulated wool and an overlay binder and has a substantially smooth surface. In one embodiment of the present invention, the fibrous filler is mineral wool and the base binder is granular starch. In an another embodiment of the present invention, the nodulated wool is nodulated mineral wool and the overlay binder is cooked pearl cornstarch.
A method of making the durable acoustical panel in accordance with the present invention is disclosed. Initially, an aqueous slurry comprising a fibrous filler, a base binder, and water is formed. The aqueous slurry is deposited onto a moving foraminous support wire to form an aqueous felt, thereby creating a continuous process. Thereafter, the aqueous felt is de-watered to form a wet felt. The wet felt is coated with an aqueous overlay comprising nodulated wool, overlay binder, and water and has a substantially smooth surface. Finally, the wet felt and aqueous overlay are dried to form the ceiling panel.
