摘要： [Problems to be Solved] There is provided a method for manufacturing a cap, which can insert a sheet member easily into a predetermined position of an upper part inside a cap body, without causing deformation to the sheet member or the cap body, and in which the sheet member does not separate when a container is brought to reduced pressure. [Means to Solve the Problems] An annular protruding portion 50 protruding on a lower surface side is formed in an annular flat region 6c of a sheet member 6 of an inside plug 10. After or at the same time that the sheet member 6 is inserted into and installed at a predetermined position within a cap body 4, the annular protruding portion 50 is pressed axially toward a top panel wall 12 and deformed so as to become close to a flat shape, to enlarge the outer diameter of the sheet member 6. By so doing, the inside plug 10 is held to be inseparable from inside a skirt wall 14 and to be axially movable.

A motor driven magnetic wheel (46) is mounted on top of the tabletop (12), disposed under the starwheel (28) and is driven in an opposite direction from the starwheel (28). A circumference of the magnetic wheel (46) is adapted for engaging a portion of the metal lids (44) as the metal lids (44) are spun on top of the tabletop (12).

摘要： A method, and apparatus for performing the method, is provided for the purpose of forming and inserting seal pieces into a container cap of a type which comprises an integral cup-like member having a top panel, a skirt depending from the top panel, and a plurality of cap lugs formed in the rim and extending partially inward from the rim. A quantity of such caps is supplied onto a surface, preferably with the caps inverted resting on their top panels. The caps are gathered into a plurality of rows and forwarded to screw conveyor mechanisms for advancing the caps to seal inserting stations located substantially coplanar with said assembly surface. The screw conveyor mechanism includes a table with at least two slots therein and conveyor screws extending beneath and along the slots and carrying caps along the table to a discharge location where the caps are temporarily located. A supply strip of flexible seal material is directed into proximity to the inserting stations and precisely cut seal pieces from the strip are inserted into the caps.

摘要： The invention relates to press-in lids for forming a snug sealing fit therebetween, the internal wall (20b) and a cover ring (30, 30a, 30b) which has two vertical wall sections pointing upwards. The object of the invention is to act against quick-leak filling fluids, paints or glazes by sealing means but that it should be possible to re-close the press-in lid so that the seal provided is just as efficient. It should also be possible to print on or coat the cover surface (20a) of the press-in lid (20, 20a, 20b), it being possible to dry or bake said print or coating at a high temperature to provide externally information identifying the container contents sealed by the lid. It is also proposed to provide a press-in lid which does not have a coating in the edge region thereof or only has a internal lacquer coating (22b, 22). A thin layer (32, 32a) protecting against leakage is only applied to sides of the cover ring on its vertical inner wall (30b). Said layer protecting against leakage consists, in particular, of polypropylene. The snug sealing fit is achieved between the vertical wall (20b) of the press-in lid and the thin layer protecting against leakage on the cover ring.
