摘要： An endless elongate structure adapted to circulate around a path. The endless elongate structure comprises a central longitudinal portion and two lateral longitudinal portions on opposed sides of the central longitudinal portion for supporting the central longitudinal portion therebetween. The central longitudinal portion and two lateral longitudinal portions are connected together by joiners. The central longitudinal portion is adapted to be assembled into a movable tubular formation which is adapted to be continuously assembled at one end thereof and continuously disassembled at another end thereof during movement of the elongate structure along the path. The central longitudinal portion has two longitudinal edge sections adapted to be releasably connected together for assembling the tubular formation by a slidably interlocking connector. 摘要： A method for treating impurities contained in exhaust gases of ships to reduce sulphur oxide and other emissions, includes scrubbing the exhaust gases in an exhaust gas scrubber and supplying wash water effluent exiting from the scrubber and containing impurities to a purification unit onboard a ship. In order for the method to purify wash water exiting the scrubber sufficiently enough to be discharged directly to sea, the purification unit includes a moving filter band, whereby an aqueous fluid containing impurities originating from the effluent is together with a precipitating agent fed to a surface of the inclined filter band and filtered there through to concentrate impurities onto the surface of the band filter as a precipitate. When necessary, the pH of the purified effluent is adjusted so that it is at least 6.5 before discharging the purified effluent into the sea or returning it to the exhaust gas scrubber.

The endless belts may include toothed drive links, with the ends of the teeth extending with the ends of the drive links to define an involute profile. The lifters may include a sleeve portion for receiving a pivot shaft and a paddle portion extending from the sleeve portion, terminating at a free end that may be contoured to have teeth. The lifters may be a flexible material configured to deflect.

摘要： A separation conveyor (10) for separating a mass or slurry of different sized particles is provided. The separation conveyor includes a filter belt (12) including a feed side for receiving the mass or slurry and a filtrate side. The separation conveyor further includes a conveyor assembly (16) for conveying the filter belt, an overhead spray array (28) for spraying fluid downwards onto the slurry as it travels on the filter belt, and a lower spray array (30) for spraying fluid upwards against an underside of the belt. The upper and lower spray arrays are arranged in combination to assist in promoting separation of oversized particles on the feed side of the belt and undersized particles on the filtrate side of the belt.
