摘要： A tape cassette comprises a housing (1) and a pair of reels (4, 5) mounted for rotation and translation in the housing (1) so that the reels can assume either of first and second relative positions. A recording tape (T) is wound on the reels (4, 5) and extends therebetween for transport from one of the reels to the other. The housing is formed with a mouth (12) through which a transducer (61) can gain access to the recording tape (T) to record or reproduce signals on or from the recording tape (T). The reels (4, 5) in the first relative position conform to a first arrangement of a drive for driving the reels (4, 5) in rotation and afford a predetermined amount of space for accommodating the transducer (61) within the housing (1) for access to the recording tape (T) and in the second relative position correspond to a second arrangement of a drive for driving the reels (4, 5) in rotation and afford an additional amount of space for accommodating the transducer (61) within the housing (1) for access to the recording tape (T). The translation of the reels has a component parallel to a left-to-right direction of the housing as well as a front-to-rear direction of the housing, so that the reels in the second position are displaced towards the rear corners of the tape cassette.

摘要： An endless master tape container for use with a video tape duplicator comprises a vibration plate having spaced side walls between which a tape accumulating passage is defined. The vibration plate has at one portion a tape inlet part through which an endless master tape is inserted into the tape accumulating passage. A fixed plate is arranged downstream of the vibration plate. The fixed plate has a tape outlet part through which the endless master tape is discharged to the outside from the tape accumulating passage. A vibrator is used for vibrating the vibration plate thereby to convey the endless master tape downstream from the tape inlet part toward the fixed plate. In the present invention, the width of the tape accumulating passage is gradually increased with increase of distance from the tape inlet part.

摘要： A tape cartridge turably holding within a housing a reel with tape wound thereon, the reel including a hub having a disk with teeth formed around its periphery for engagement with a recorder drive shaft, the hub underside having throughholes for engagement with a breake release plate, the hub having teeth to engage a brake lock, the brake release plate having legs adapted to fit in said throughholes, the brake lock having brake teeth in mesh with the teeth of the hub, and further including a spring member between the brake lock and an upper housing casing to urge the brake lock in braking position. A short toe on the outer end of the brake release plate legs prevents the legs from coming off, out of engagement with, a corresponding hub hole. A reinforcing structure is provided between the center of a main plate and the legs of the brake release plate.
