摘要： A bill handling apparatus of the recycle type comprising a bill receiving system and a bill disbursing system. The bill receiving system includes a bill insertion opening, bill discriminating unit, a unit for arranging bills so that the front and back sides thereof face the same direction and for pooling them, and bill-receiving boxes for receiving bills according to denomination. The bills to be deposited are fed from the bill insertion opening, via the discriminating unit, to the bill arranging and pooling unit and, thereafter, via the discriminating unit, to the bill receiving boxes. The bill disbursing system is constructed so that the bills received in the bill receiving boxes are fed via the discriminating unit to a bill disbursing opening.

In contrast to previous arrangements, the coins are stacked on edge, one above another in the stack tube (1) which takes up less space in the machine than conventional, cylindrical stack tubes in which the coins are stacked flat. The stack tube (1) may be formed conveniently by machining a groove (2) in the side wall (3) of the machine and by attaching a flat strip (4) to the wall (3) to close off the groove (2).

Equal rates of movement of the next unit of currency and the transport medium assure that only the next unit of currency will be transported on the adhesive medium.

摘要： The invention relates to a coin dispenser for use in vending machines for giving out change when the value of money inserted into the machine exceeds the price of the merchandise purchased. The aim of the invention is to simplify the design of such a dispenser so that different sets of coins can be catered for from a small range of parts. The dispenser comprises vertical coin tubes (12, 13, 14), one for each denomination of coin dispensed, and respective channels (15, 16, 17) extending horizontally beneath each tube. Each channel has an aperture (21, 22, 23) in its lower wall offset from the axis of the tube, (12, 13, 14) and an apertured slide plate (24, 25, 26) is movable in the channel (15, 16, 17) from below the coin tube (12, 13, 14) to over the aperture (21, 22,23) in the lower wall so as to dispense the coins singly from the stacks in the coin tubes. The coin tubes extend down through apertures (18, 19, 20) in the upper wall of their respective channels so that the lower end of the tubes are the lowest point in the coin channels. With this arrangement a range of denominations of coins of differing thicknesses can be catered for by setting the lower end of the tube at a height appropriate to the thickness of the denomination of coins during assembly.

Individual coins pass through holes 25 into coin receptacles between projections 8. The disc is rotated by a motor 4 through a reduction gear 6 and a drive gear 5. Coins 27, 28 in the receptacles are swept into engagement with a spring loaded finger 10 against the spring bias until they become aligned with an outlet 14. The spring bias then urges the coins outwardly through the outlet. The apparatus has particular application to amusement machines with payout.
