摘要： The invention comprises a process for the pyrogasification of solid plant biomass which resolves the problem of the presence of tar in the syngas produced within such process to the point that it can then be passed to an endothermic engine without causing its premature breakdown. In order to achieve this process a new type of pyrogasifier unit comprising a reactor of frustoconical shape with internal walls of refractory materials provided with a first upward opening for the entry of gasifying agent and a second downward opening for exit of the syngas has been produced. The upper opening is the only possible entry for the gasifying agent and at the same time it is crucial to prevent any further ingress of air from the walls of the truncated cone, in addition to this such opening must be equal to the entire upper surface area of the reactor, therefore not an inlet nozzle or window but a proper open vessel, in order to ensure that the gasifying agent interacts uniformly and activates the entire upper surface area of the reactor to then propagates continuously downwards. The pyrogasification process propagates from the top to bottom in a gradual, progressive and geometrically self-regulating manner. The syngas produced thus passes through the full height of the reactor being exposed to a prolonged cracking action giving rise to a product with a low tar content. It is also an object of the invention a method of using the pyrogasification unit according to the present invention.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a field replaceable multifunction cartridge for the conversion of composite high molecular weight hydrocarbon vapours, extracted from homogenous or heterogeneous, segregated or unsegregated, wet or dry, unclean miscellaneous multi-feed waste input, to produce low molecular weight fractions of industriously combustible fuel products through catalytic cracking. The multifunction cartridge system is constructed in a modular fashion is capable of performing the catalytic, cleaning and scrubbing functions through the temperature range ranging from ambient to 500°C, owing to the high mechanical strength, low coefficient of expansion, resistance to thermal fatigue etc.

摘要： A process for producing a purified synthesis gas stream from a carbonaceous feedstock, the process comprising the steps of (a) partial oxidation of the carbonaceous feedstock with a molecular oxygen comprising gas to obtain a synthesis gas comprising water, hydrogen sulphide, and carbon dioxide besides the main constituents carbon monoxide and hydrogen, (b) mixing the synthesis gas and methanol and reducing the temperature of said mixture and separating a liquid methanol-water mixture from the cooled gaseous synthesis gas, (c) contacting the cooled synthesis gas obtained in step (b) with methanol to decrease the content of hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide in the synthesis gas, thereby obtaining a rich methanol stream comprising hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide and a synthesis gas stream depleted in hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide; (d) regenerating the rich methanol stream of step (c) by separating from the rich methanol a carbon dioxide fraction and a hydrogen sulphide fraction such to obtain lean methanol, which lean methanol is used as the methanol in step (b) and (c), and wherein (e) part of the methanol in the methanol-water mixture is isolated and reused in the steps (b) and/or (c) and wherein, (f ) another part of the methanol as present in the methanol-water mixture obtained in step (b) is recycled to step (a) under conditions such that methanol is converted into carbon monoxide and hydrogen.

摘要： The inventive reactor contains a fixed bed into whose lower area an oxygen-containing gasifying agent is introduced. Said gasifying agent moves upwards in the fixed bed. Product gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide is guided out of the reactor over the fixed bed, through a discharge channel. At least one cyclone is located in the reactor for separating solids from the product gas.
