    • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abscheidervorrichtung (10) zum Reinigen von Abwasser, umfassend:
      - wenigstens eine Grobfangeinheit (11) zum Abtrennen von in dem zugeführten Abwasser befindlichen Grobstoffen, die eine Fördereinrichtung (12) und ein Gehäuse (13) mit wenigstens einem Zulauf (14) für das zu reinigende Abwasser aufweist;
      - wenigstens eine Abscheidereinheit (15) zum Abtrennen von aufschwimmenden Flüssigkeiten, insbesondere von Fetten, und/oder aufschwimmenden Feststoffen und/oder von absinkenden Feinstoffen aus der durch die Grobfangeinheit (11) vorgereinigten Flüssigkeit, insbesondere aus organischem Abwasser, wobei die Abscheidereinheit (15) der Grobfangeinheit (11) in Fließrichtung nachgeordnet ist und wenigstens einen Abscheidebehälter (16) zum Aufnehmen der vorgereinigten Flüssigkeit aufweist, der wenigstens einen Ablauf (17) für gereinigtes Abwasser umfasst;
      - wenigstens einen Skimmer (18) zum Entfernen von in dem Abscheidebehälter (16) aufschwimmenden Flüssigkeiten; und
      - wenigstens eine Feinstoffentnahmeeinheit (19), die mit dem Abscheidebehälter (16) zur Entnahme von abgesunkenen Feinstoffen, insbesondere von Feinschlamm, verbunden ist, wobei
      das Gehäuse (13) der Grobfangeinheit (11) wenigstens einen Absetzbereich (20) zum Aufnehmen von absinkenden Grobstoffen und die Fördereinrichtung (12) wenigstens ein in Förderrichtung (F) umlaufend geschlossenes Fördermittel (21), insbesondere Endlosfördermittel, mit wenigstens einem Räumelement (22) aufweist, wobei das Fördermittel (21) den Absetzbereich (20) zumindest teilweise derart durchläuft, dass das Räumelement (22) im Betrieb die abgesunkenen Grobstoffe aus dem Absetzbereich (20) fördert.

    • This application relates to a circular clarifier for separating and removing separable matter, such as suspended solids, from a liquid. The invention may be used, for example, for separating return activated sludge from clarified liquor using a gas flotation process. The clarifier includes a plurality of fluid feed ports for introducing influent into selected treatment cells of the clarifier in a timed sequence, thereby achieving batch flotation of solids or other separable matter in a continuous infeed process. A plurality of spaced-apart, rotating flocculent handling assemblies traverse the treatment cells for sequentially conveying flocculent into spaced-apart, radially extending collection troughs. All of the flocculent handling assemblies may be driven by a single drive means. Each flocculent handling assembly includes a submerged beach and a scraper assembly including a scraper blade which extends upwardly from the beach. The beaches provide a shear plane underneath the surface layer of flocculent. The scraper assembly includes means for lifting the scraper blade in the vicinity of a trough to enable the blade to traverse over the trough and then descend to a position in contact with or proximate to a corresponding beach. Methods of using the clarifier to more efficiently handle return activated sludge or other fragile flocculent are also described. The clarifier may be stand-alone or adapted to retrofit existing circular primary or secondary sedimentation clarifiers.

    • The present invention, the objective of which is to provide a sludge raker constructed in a way to protect the drive unit against wear or corrosion due to contact with waste water mixed with sludge, by eliminating drive unit positioned in sewage, reduce wear of the scraper by moving the separator out of contact with the bed of the basin at the time of retreat not making any raking of sludge, and be capable of improving the durability and energy efficiency of the equipment by reducing power loss, is a sludge raker comprising a sludge raking device, disposed along the bed of the sewage treating basin and realized in a way to move forward and backward, and a driving device realized in a way to move forward and backward by suspending the sludge raking device, characterized in that it is constructed in such a way that said driving device is installed on the surface of the water and, when the sludge raker moves forward in the sludge raking direction, by means of said driving device, scraper mounted on the beam of the sludge raking device moves along the bed of the basin and, when the sludge raker moves in the opposite direction, at least the scraper mounted on the rear part of the beam of the sludge raking device moves without getting in contact with the bed of the basin, and that at least the scraper mounted on the rear part of the beam of the sludge raking device is formed in different shapes on the front face and the back face, so as to rake sludge when it moves forward in the sludge raking direction and dive into the sedimentary sludge when retreating in the opposite direction.

    • The invention provides a flotation device including a thickening tank (1) having right­cylindrical sidewalls and a downwardly sloping frusto-conical floor. A drive shaft (2) is centrally rotatably mounted within the tank. Each one of a plurality of rake arms (3) is fixedly connected to the drive shaft and extends radially outwardly, substantially parallel to the tank floor. Each arm supports an array of blades (4) extending axially into the tank. An array of baffles in the form of rectilinear baffle plates (5), fixed relative to the tank, extends axially into the tank in complementary alternate radially spaced relationship with the blades (4). The baffle plates are located within the swept volume of the blades to retard fluid rotation in response to the rotation of the rake. A diametrical service bridge (6) is fixedly connected to the tank for mounting the baffle plates.
