摘要： The present inventions relate to apparatus and systems for feeding livestock, particularly to nipple-actuated feeding stations which include a nipple insert assembly (201) having an internal valve system actuable by a nipple (212) and insertable into an insert assembly (101) having a normally-closed internal valve system and connectible to a pressurized feed line. Inserting the nipple assembly (201) into the insert assembly (101) opens the insert assembly valve system and subsequent nipple (212) actuation discharges fluid from the pressurized feed line. The nipple assembly (201) may be removed from the insert assembly (101) without depressurizing the feed line or manipulating other process conditions. A plurality of insert assembly (101) and nipple assembly (201) pairings may be positioned throughout one or more pressurized feed lines to form a feeding system, and the flow rates of each individual feeding station may be manually or automatically controlled.

Die Erfindung sieht es vor, das Wasser in der Tiertränke umzuwälzen. Dazu weist die Tiertränke zwei parallele Rohrstränge (23, 24) auf, die einen Wasserkreislauf bilden, so dass auch dann, wenn an den Tränkeventilen (20) über längere Zeit kein Wasser entnommen wird, das Wasser in Bewegung ist, nämlich ständig durch die Rohrstränge (23, 24) strömt.

摘要： Instruments and methods facilitate reconstruction, repair, and the closure of apertures in soft tissues, including the anulus fibrosus (AF), heart, lung, abdomen, thorax, vascular structures and other organs. Flexible longitudinal fixation components (i.e., sutures) are positioned across apertures in soft tissues, preferably to closes the inlets and/or outlets of such apertures. Tension on the flexible longitudinal fixation components may be used to narrow or close the apertures. Knotless fixation technologies such as suture welding are preferably used to fasten the ends of the flexible longitudinal fixation components. Certain embodiments include an intra-aperture component dimensioned for positioning within a defect in the AF, with one or more components being used to maintain the intra-aperture component in position. For example, the flexible longitudinal fixation component(s) may be anchored to one of the upper and lower vertebral bodies.
