摘要： A method for entering text in a text input field using a non-keyboard type accessory includes selecting a character for entry into the text field presented by a portable computing device. The portable computing device determines whether text suggestions are available based on the character. If text suggestions are available, the portable computing device can determine the text suggestions and send them to the accessory, which in turn can display the suggestions on a display. A user operating the accessory can select one of the text suggestions, expressly reject the text suggestions, or ignore the text suggestions. If a text suggestion is selected, the accessory can send the selected text to the portable computing device for populating the text field.

The invention further relates to a system, a method, and use. The object of the present invention is to provide a simple user interface between an audio selection device and a head-worn listening device, such as a hearing aid. The problem is solved in that the communications device comprises a user interface comprising a number of functional push-buttons for influencing the state of the user interface, such as the selection (and de-selection) of an audio signal, events and properties related to the audio signal, and wherein the state of the user interface is indicated at the same button where the state can be influenced. Among the advantages for a user are: Clear visual feedback by using simple button light indications; operation and indication are tied together in the buttons; the combination of audio and visual indications. The invention may e.g. be used for the hearing aids, ear phones, head sets, etc.

摘要： A method and system of selectively communicating with a first portable device within pre-defined geographical zones is disclosed. The first portable device is associated with a geographical zone defined utilizing latitude and longitude attributes. Data representative of the geographical zone is then loaded on the first portable device. The first portable device includes a ground positioning unit receiver which allows the first portable device to receive positioning data and to determine its position in relation to the geographical zone. When the first portable device determines it is within the geographical zone, the first portable device enables communication between the first portable device and a second portable device.
