摘要： A method for controlling an operation unit, a system for controlling an operation unit, and a computer storage medium. The method comprises: determining a relative current value (S 110); determining target frequencies corresponding to all currently running operation units, determining the temperatures of all of the currently running operation units, and calculating the sum of current values of all of the currently running operation units based on the target frequencies and the temperatures (S120), wherein the target frequency corresponding to each running operation unit is a series of frequencies with which the operation unit can run; and comparing the calculated sum of the current values with the determined relative current value, and if the sum of the current values is smaller than the relative current value, determining the target frequency corresponding to the sum of the current values as a running frequency to be selected (S130).

摘要： A first system (404) has a plurality of interconnected computers which receive operational data from remote data sources (401). The first system (404) has a software application (405) for processing the operational data received from remote data sources (401) and the operational data characterizes performance of one or more software applications running on the remote data sources. A load capacity "L" for the first system (404) is determined; wherein L is the number of remote data sources (401) that can be processed before the system becomes overloaded. The first system (404) repeatedly monitors remote data sources (401) to determine their number. When the number of remote data sources (401) exceeds a predetermined fraction of L the first system (404) is replicated and replications (408) are installed.
When a client requests data from one of the systems, using a time stamp the data is automatically provided. The first system (404) is replicated as more processing power is required conditional upon the load capacity of the system.

Data may be generated which is associated with operation of managed device being monitored by the DCIM system. At least one remote access appliance may be used to receive the data. An element library framework may be used by the remote access appliance to generate events from the data. The remote access appliance may also be used to implement a complex event processing subsystem to analyze the events and to generate event related signals therefrom. A bus may be used to transmit the event related signals from the appliance to a common platform services (CPS) subsystem of the DCIM system. The CPS subsystem may be used to receive the event related signals and to use the event related signals to inform the user of an aspect of performance of the managed device.

摘要： A universal platform for utility computing that allows service providers to charge clients for the services rendered according to a dimensionless cross-platform universal metric. The platform measures or monitors six metrics commonly used in software computing (MHz for CPU usage, Mbytes for memory usage, Kbytes/sec for I/O, Kbytes/sec for LAN, Kbits/sec for WAN and Gbytes for storage) and applies appropriate weighting and conversion factors to each consumption value to a value in the universal metric that can be applied agnostically to any system or application. The metric can also take other controllable variables into account, such as real estate cost, tax jurisdiction and electrical power. The metric effectively a metric makes diverse computing resources comparable. The total value of the resources consumed by a user determines the cost charged for the use of the computing services.
