摘要： The invention relates to a device for the inherently safe matching of the signals to be exchanged between an automation system (2) and field devices (3). The device (1) comprises on its rear wall (19) plug-in input/output modules (4) which combine the functions of conventional input/output and potentional separation units. The rear wall plate (19) carries data lines (20) of a local bus (8) and power supply lines (21). A communication module (9) is in communication on one side with the local bus (8) and on the other with a field bus (12). The communication module (9) contains devices for data storage (22) and data processing (16) and permits asynchronous data exchange between an automation system (2) and the input/output modules (4).

摘要： What is disclosed is a gateway, and associated control system and method, for communication between a main control device connected to a local area network and a plurality of slave devices connected to a local serial bus in an industrial automation control network. The gateway comprises a first interface for communication with the main control device over the local area network; a second interface for communication with a plurality of slave devices over the local serial bus and an I/O scanner processor. The I/O scanner processor is configured to poll an I/O state of each of the plurality of slave devices over the second interface, to process the I/O state information received from polling each slave device and determine whether to transmit information to the main control device based on the I/O state information, and to occasionally transmit it such information to the main control device over the first interface based on such determination, thereby offloading the slave device I/O scan processing from the main control device to the gateway.
