摘要： The present invention is the use of equipment consisting of a modified laser printer, a generator of electrostatic charges or an ultrasonic wave generator and a heating apparatus for printing on any support. The toner, until it is fixed to the surface of the object with the heating apparatus, maintains its initial characteristics, i.e. powder particles. The image, which comes out from the laser printer is placed on the surface on which to transfer the print; the head of the electrostatic charge generator is made to slide on the back face of the sheet generating an electrostatic force such as to push the toner particles onto the underlying surface, reproducing the same image but in a mirror-like manner; the sheet is then removed and the image is permanently attached on the surface of material via the heating apparatus which carries the toner to the melting temperature.

The conveyance mechanism 50 has a conveyance belt 51 to be rotated while mounting the medium on an upper surface facing the upper side, and an intake mechanism 52 for tightly fitting the medium to the upper surface of the conveyance mechanism 50. When selecting a mode to convey the roll paper, a paper feed unit controller controls passing speed at which the medium passes through a pass-through portion provided in the fixing portion in accordance with output signals from the slack detection sensors 61, 62.

摘要： If an image is shifted in increments of pixels according to scan line changing points, the printed image suffers from jaggies or boundaries at positions corresponding to the scan line changing points. The jaggies or boundaries are also produced when a 1/2 speed or a 1/3 speed obtained by varying the process speed is used. Consequently, it has been impossible to obtain high-quality output images. An image forming apparatus is offered which has a printing unit operating to print at different process speeds and a control unit for controlling the output range of output image data for each line according to the process speeds. When the process speed in use is lower than a normal process speed, a part of 1 line of image data is outputted divisionally at timings at which lines from which image is not usually outputted at this low process speed are scanned.

摘要： The present invention discloses an improved method for transferring an image (40) onto an object (10) which has a surface that curves I two directions. After providing a source (50) containing an image (40) capable of thermal transfer, a target surface (20) is chosen on the object (10) and a chemical coating (340) is applied. The image (40) is then pressed onto the coated target surface (20) until the target surface (20) is substantially flat and heated so that the image (40) is transferred to the target surface (20). The coating (340) allows the image (40) to be transferred at a low temperature. In a preferred embodiment, after the source (50) is removed, a second application of heat is applied to the object (10) to drive the image (40) into the object (10). A protective material (120) may be positioned between the heating element (160) and the image (40), especially before the second application of heat.
