    • An instant photo film pack loadable in a camera (15) includes a box-shaped pack (43) and plural stacked self-developing photo film units (29) of a mono-sheet type contained therein. The pack includes an upper wall (65) having an exposure opening (45) for providing the photo film units with an exposure, and a front wall having an exit slot (46) for exiting the photo film units. The photo film units have a developing solution pod (29b) for containing developing solution along an advancing edge (29b) thereof. A bottom edge (29c) of each one of the photo film units is pushed by an ejecting claw (54) after the exposure to advance the advancing edge through the exit slot. The each one photo film unit is contacted by a spreading control member (60) while moved to a pair of spreader rollers (52). The developing solution pod is squeezed and torn upon passage between the spreader rollers to spread the developing solution in the each one photo film unit. The instant photo film pack satisfies:D ≤ F where D is a moving amount of the one photo film unit moving from the initial position to a position where the advancing edge of the one photo film unit contacts the spreading control member, and F is a distance between an inner edge (45a) of the exposure opening positioned in reverse to the advancing direction, and the bottom edge of the one photo film unit directly behind the exposure opening, the bottom edge being positioned in reverse to the advancing direction. Orientation of the bottom edge is stabilized while the one photo film unit directly behind the exposure opening is advanced.

    • A sheet-film cassette (1) with two cassette portions (2, 3) connected by a hinge (4) comprises in one cassette portion (2) an exposure window (2a) which can be closed by a light-shielding slider (9) having a grip piece (6). A sheet film (16) can be positioned in the other cassette portion (3). Of two locking devices arranged in the grip piece (6) and associated with the light-shielding slider (9), one is provided with a locking arm (14) which can be locked with the cassette portion (3) positioning the sheet film (16). The locking arm (14) is rigidly connected with the grip piece (6) in the direction of movement thereof and is spring-biased into engagement with a projection (3f) arranged on the associated cassette portion (3). A sliding shoe (15) is positioned in the area of engagement of locking arm (14, 14d), said sliding shoe extending under the bias of a spring into the path of sliding movement and into the locking path of locking arm (14, 14d). When, following exposure, the light-shielding slider (9) is slid back again, locking arm (14, 14d) urges sliding shoe (15) out of the locking range so that the locking arm can assume its locking position. This locking engagement can only be released when the cassette portions (2, 3) are pivoted to their open position. In that position, the sliding shoe (15, 15a) is located in the locking path of locking arm (14, 14d).

    • This invention involves a film cassette (10) for resiliently holding a film unit for exposure. The cassette includes a forward wall (12), a rear wall, two side walls (22,24), a leading end wall (28) and a trailing end wall (26) all combined to form an enclosure for holding the film unit. An exposure opening (36) in the forward wall (12) allows exposure of the film unit and an egress opening (44) in the leading end wall allows it to be discharged after exposure. A pick slot (38) in the forward wall provides access to a pick to engage the film unit and advance it through the egress opening. A spring platen (50) mounted within the chamber between the rear wall and the film unit biases the film unit against the forward wall in proper position for exposure through the exposure opening.
