    • The present invention allows for an accurate control of the electromagnetic fields inside a multimode resonant cavity in an accurate way. The multiple inputs and multiple outputs analyzer (MIMO Analyzer) features several elements such as: broadband antennas, metallic slotted plate, different types of lenses and different stirrers, both metallic and non-metallic. These elements, together with some procedures such as precise location of under-test elements out of the cavity allow for controlling the electromagnetic fields on its interior. This control permits the emulation of the behaviour of wireless communication terminals under different fading scenarios, both indoors and outdoors, and in a unique way for Rician and non-isotropic fading scenarios. Some of the elements and procedures set in the MIMO Analyzer can also be used in industrial microwave heating processes for heating, drying and curing of materials, also known as microwave ovens, allowing a greater efficiency and homogenization in the processes.

    • An apparatus for measuring over-the-air (OTA) wireless communication performance in an automotive application of a device under test arranged on or in a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a chamber and a platform for supporting the vehicle within the chamber. The platform is a rotatable platform that can rotate the vehicle, and the floor is inwardly reflective, and optionally covered with a top layer to resemble asphalt or other road covers. In one embodiment, the chamber is a reverberation chamber, simulating a multi-path environment, and preferably a rich isotropic multipath (RIMP) environment. In another embodiment, the chamber has inwardly absorbing walls, simulating a random-LOS environment.
