    • The invention relates to a homocinetic joint (11) which is in the form of a counter track joint. Said joint comprises an outer part (12) which comprises a first longitudinal axis (A12), in addition to a connection side and an opening side which are axially opposed to each other, and which comprises first outer ball tracks (18) and second outer ball tracks (20), an inner part (15) which comprises a second longitudinal axis (A22) and connection means for a shaft (22) for the opening side of the outer part (12) and which comprises first inner ball tracks (19) and second inner ball tracks (21). The first outer ball tracks (18) and the first inner ball tracks (19) together form first track pairs and the second outer ball tracks (20) and the second inner ball tracks (21) together form second track pairs, a torque transmitting ball (171, 172) is placed respectively in the track pairs. A ball cage (16) is arranged between the outer part (12) and the inner part (15) and comprises cage windows (241, 242) which are distributed on the periphery thereof, which respectively house at least one of the balls (171, 172). The opening angle (d1) of the first pair of tracks opens when the joint is pulled on the joint average plane (E) from the opening side to the connection side of the joint outer part (12), and the opening angle (d2) of the second pair of tracks opens when the joint is pulled on the joint average plane (E) from the connection side to the opening side of the joint outer side (12). The track average lines (L18, L19) of the first pair of tracks has an inflection point (T1-2) and the central point angle (ß) on the inflection point (T1-2) in relation to the joint average plane (E) is greater than 4°.

    • Provided is a fixed type constant velocity universal joint, in which track grooves of an outer joint member include: first track groove portions positioned on an interior side; and second track groove portions positioned on an opening side. Each of the first track groove portions includes an arc part having a curvature center that is positioned without being offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The first track groove portions are inclined in a peripheral direction of the outer joint member with respect to a joint axial line and adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction with their inclination directions opposite to each other. Each of the second track groove portions is formed into a different shape from a shape of the each of the first track groove portions so as to increase an effective track length at a maximum operating angle. The each of the first track groove portions and the each of the second track groove portions are connected to each other at a position on the opening side with respect to the joint center. Track grooves of the inner joint member are formed so as to be mirror-image symmetrical with corresponding paired track grooves of the outer joint member with respect to a plane including the joint center at an operating angle of 0°. A pocket clearance is set within a range in which balls and pockets of a cage are fitted with both an interference fit and a clearance fit.

    • In a fixed type constant velocity universal joint(1), track grooves of an outer joint member comprise first track groove portions (7a) each located on a depth side and second track groove portions (7b) each located on an opening side. The first track groove portions (7a) each comprise a circular-arc part having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center (O). The first track groove portions (7a) are inclined in a circumferential direction with respect to a joint axial line (N-N), and are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction with their inclination directions opposite to each other. The second track groove portions (7b) are each formed into a shape different from a shape of each of the first track groove portions (7a) so as to increase an effective track length with respect to a maximum operating angle. The first track groove portions (7a) and the second track groove portions (7b) are connected respectively to each other on the opening side with respect to the joint center (O). Each track groove of an inner joint member is formed to be mirror-image symmetrical with the paired track groove of the outer joint member with respect to a plane (P) comprising the joint center (O) at an operating angle of 0°.
