    • A motorcycle 10 according to a preferred embodiment includes a controller 162, an engine 29, a rear wheel 26, a rear wheel brake 402, a brake lock device 8, and a brake lock switch 802a. The controller 162 includes a brake lock detector 143 and an engine start determining unit 141. The rear wheel 26 is driven by the rotation driving force of the engine 29. The brake lock device 8 keeps the rear wheel brake 402 in a braked state. When the rear wheel 26 is locked in a braked state by the brake lock device 8, the brake lock switch 802a is in on state. The engine start determining unit 141 prohibits the engine 29 from being started by a kick starter 300 when the on state of the brake lock switch 802a is not detected by the brake lock detector 143.
