    • An integrated control system (104) for use with an engine (106) connected to a generator (108) providing electrical power to a switchgear (110) is disclosed. The engine (106) receives gas produced by a gasifier (102). The control system (104) includes an electronic controller (148) associated with the gasifier (102), engine (106), generator (108), and switchgear (110). A gas flow sensor (176) monitors a gas flow from the gasifier (102) to the engine (106) through an engine gas control valve (144) and provides a gas flow signal to the electronic controller (148). A gas oversupply sensor (170) monitors a gas oversupply from the gasifier (102) and provides an oversupply signal indicative of gas not provided to the engine (106). A power output sensor (172) monitors a power output of the switchgear (110) and provide a power output signal. The electronic controller (148) changes gas production of the gasifier (102) and the power output rating of the switchgear (110) based on the gas flow signal, the oversupply signal, and the power output signal.

    • A method for preparation of a fuel-air mixture consists in that the overrich flow of the fuel-air mixture before its mixing with a second flow is additionally heated by passing it through an activator heated up to a temperature exceeding the ignition temperature of the mixture and by providing for multiple contact of the flow with the surface of the activator. The device comprises a heat exchanger (1) connected through an inlet sleeve (3) to the exhaust manifold of the engine, and a device (5) intended for dosing the components of the mixture to be treated and provided with an air pipe (6), an exhaust gas pipe (7) and a fuel pipe (8). The device (5) is connected through a controlling unit (10) and a mixing pipe (9) to the inlet mixture circuit of the heat exchanger (1). In the outlet pipe of the heat exchanger is mounted, without a gap, an activator (12) which is a heating element with a developed surface, which may have different designs.
