摘要： An elongated steel element adapted for the reinforcement of rubber products is covered with a ternary alloy or quaternary alloy coating of copper-M-zinc. M is one or two metals selected out of the group consisting of cobalt, nickel, tin, indium, manganese, iron, bismuth and molybdenum. The copper content inside the coating ranges from 58 weight percent to 75 weight percent. The content of the one or two metals inside said coating ranges from 0.5 weight percent to 10 weight percent. The remainder is zinc and unavoidable impurities. The one or two metals are present throughout the coating. Phosphorus is present on and/or in the coating in an amount of more than 1 and less than 4 milligram per square meter of the coating. The coating further comprises one or, ore compounds which complex with the copper in the coating to form an insoluble film on its surface. Good results are obtained for steam ageing and cured humidity adhesion. Furthermore, a corresponding method for manufacturing such an elongated steel element is disclosed.

Additionally provided is a tire that achieves high durability by using the resin-metal composite material. The resin-metal composite material includes a metal material and a resin material that coats at least a part of the surface of the metal material. The surface of the metal material is treated with a buffer solution having a pH of from 5 to 7.2, and an abundance ratio of copper to a total amount of copper and zinc (Cu/(Cu + Zn) × 100) in the surface of the metal material is from 55 to 95% by mass. The tire includes a circular tire frame formed of a resin material and a reinforcing layer composed of a reinforcing member wound around an outer circumference of the tire frame, in which the reinforcing member includes the resin-metal composite material.

摘要： The present invention relates to a wire for wrapping which is wound spirally on the outer circumference of a main cable in which a plurality of metal wires are compactly arranged in parallel, wherein the wire for wrapping is a zinc-aluminum-alloy-coated shaped steel wire with superior corrosion resistance which has an S-shaped cross section coated with a zinc-aluminum alloy and has a thickness of coating layer of at least 20µm at any part of the outer circumference of the S-shaped cross section. A method of producing a zinc-aluminum-alloy-coated shaped steel wire according to the present invention comprises the steps of: primarily rolling a material wire rod; performing stress-relief heat treatment for the primarily rolled wire at a temperature of 300-500°C; coating the heat-treated primarily rolled wire with a zinc-aluminum alloy; and secondarily rolling the coated primarily rolled wire at a rolling quantity of 5-40% to obtain the shaped steel wire of the S-shaped cross section.

摘要： Provided are a high-strength fiber composite and an applied product thereof, whereby it is possible for the inherent tensile strength of high-strength fiber yarns to be obtained, even when used in applications in which bending stress occurs, such as wires, or when stored while wound around a drum or the like. This high-strength fiver composite has a core produced by imparting twist to a high-strength fiver bundle produced by bundling high-strength fiber yarns, and a stiffening the twisted high-strength fiber bundle with a stiffening agent. In this high-strength fiber composite, the high-strength fiber yarns are resistant to breakage even when flexed, have a superior shearing strength, and can maintain the inherent tensile strength of high-strength fibers, even when used in applications in which bending stress occurs, such as wires, or when stored while wound onto a drum or the like. The strand structure, which has a strand construction composed of two or more of the high-strength fiber composites twisted together, maintains the inherent strength of the high-strength fibers, and affords more consistent tensile strength, as compared with when an equal number of high-strength fiber composites lacking the strand construction are used.

摘要： The present invention relates to a steel cord for rubber reinforcement. In the steel cord of the present invention, cobalt is contained by 0.001 ppm to 0.1 ppm within a 4 nm top-surface of the brass-plated steel wire. A method of manufacturing the steel cord includes: providing a brass-plated steel wire; mixing a cobalt compound in a wet lubricant filled in a wet drawing bath provided with a plurality of drawing dies between one pair of multi-stage drawing cones such that the concentration of the cobalt compound becomes 0.1 ppm to 100 ppm; and causing the cobalt to be contained by 0.001 ppm to 0.1 ppm within a 4 nm top-surface of the brass-plated steel wire after the brass-plated steel wire passes through a final die by causing the cobalt to be attached to a surface of the brass-plated steel wire and alloyed with a brass layer while the brass-plated steel wire is passing through the drawing cones and the drawing dies to be subjected to multi-stage drawing.
