摘要： Methods and devices that displace bone or other hard tissue to create a cavity in the tissue. Where such methods and devices rely on a driving mechanism for providing moving of the device to form a profile that improves displacement of the tissue. These methods and devices also allow for creating a path or cavity in bone for insertion of bone cement or other filler to treat a fracture or other condition in the bone. The features relating to the methods and devices described herein can be applied in any region of bone or hard tissue where the tissue or bone is displaced to define a bore or cavity instead of being extracted from the body such as during a drilling or ablation procedure.

摘要： An instrument to create microfractures in subchondral bone without skiving and a method of using the same are provided. The instrument includes an outer sleeve having a handle coupled to a hollow tube, wherein the end of the tube is curved and includes features to secure the end on a subchondral bone. A puncture element is provided and designed to be inserted through the outer sleeve and translate and/or rotate therethrough into the subchondral bone when directed. The end of the puncture element having a surface that allows the tip to penetrate into the bone to provide a microfracture therethrough without the instrument skiving across the subchondral bone.

摘要： Systems and methods for treating spinal stenosis include endoscopic access devices and bone removal devices used to perform a foraminotomy or other bone removal procedures. Some of the bone removal devices include expandable members which may be used to control the forced exerted and/or position of the bone removal mechanism, and to protect neurovascular structures and other soft tissue structures from the bone removal mechanism. Other bone removal devices include a trephine with a viewing window and a guide wire lumen used to position the trephine at a target tissue site using an anchored wire. The viewing window may be used to monitor structures or tissues adjacent to the target tissue site.

摘要： The invention relates to a handpiece for a surgical or dental tool (3). Said tool is rotationably mounted by means of two bearings (12, 13) which are axially separated from each other and can be inserted into a the head of the hand piece (1) through an inset opening (14) leading into a tool receiving element (2) with positive transmission of torque from the drive (9), which is arranged in the handpiece, to the tool. The tool optionally comprises a longitudinal hole (6) which is used for transporting cooling liquid to the point of work and the handpiece (1) optionally comprises a small, fixed feed pipe (7) which protrudes into the longitudinal hole and is sealed in relation to the tool (3). In order to increase the torque which can be transmitted, the inventive handpiece is characterised in that the torque transmission (8) takes place in the region of the bearings (13) which is adjacent to the insert opening (14). The invention also relates to the configuration of fitting tools.
