The transverse threads on the side of the fabric opposite the longitudinal threads extend through the spaces between the strips for connection to the longitudinal threads.

摘要： Abstract of the disclosure EP 86 10 8540. There is disclosed a fabric tightly woven using a tape yarn (11) either as warp yarn or as filling yarn. This fabric has good air- and moisture-permeability because of the free passage of air and water vapor through the clearances (14) formed by the undulating formation of the tape yarn. Rain drops which are larger in diameter than the clearances are prevented from penetrating the fabric, with the result that there occurs no direct entry of rain drops from the outer surface of the fabric. Furthermore, as the tape yarn is arranged in closely adjoining parallel arrays, infrared radiation cannot pass through the fabric so that the fabric displays a satisfactory warmth-retention characteristic during the night hours, thus making it suitable for use as an agricultural covering sheet.

摘要： A rollable and drapeable green-house curtain with insulating power. The curtain comprises double fabric paths (10, 11) separated along their entire length and width and interconnected by means of a plurality of thin and flexible threads (12) sparsely distributed over the surface of the curtain. In the intervals between rows (19) of connecting threads (12) there could be arranged strips (20) of a heat reflecting material, e.g. metallized foil, in order to make the curtain as an effective barrier against radiant heat. The curtain is manufactured on a warp knitting machine with two needle bars and the connecting threads (12) consist of connecting stitches between the double fabric paths.

摘要： The method of this invention produces a silicone coated glass fabric which is translucent or transparent as desired and which has a smooth dry surface. The coated glass fabric is useful in producing air-supported and tension-supported roofs for structures such as greenhouses. A glass fabric is first coated with a polydiorganosiloxane, in which the organo radicals are methyl and phenyl radicals in a ratio of from 0.25 to 3.7, in an amount sufficient to impregnate the fibers in the yarns of the fabric, but leaving the interstices of the fabric open. This first layer is then followed by coating with a polydimethylsiloxane elastomer to give a continuous layer, then coating with an elastoplastic organopolysiloxane resin to give a smooth, dry surface on the glass fabric reinforced sheet.
