摘要： A septal defect occluder is provided having first and second occluder panels. Each occluder panel includes a fabric support structure and fabric suspended therefrom. The occluder panels are conjoined at a plurality of discrete points which are located within an area bounded by each perimeter of the fabric support structures, as well as on the fabric, to thereby form a defect conforming region for the occluder. In an alternate embodiment, each occluder panel includes a cambered fabric support structure and fabric suspended from a perimeter thereof, the occluder panels being arranged in cooperative cambered opposition such that the perimeters of the cambered fabric support structures impart a clamping force upon tissue adjacent a tissue defect interposed there between when the occluder is deployed for tissue defect occlusion.

摘要： Devices and methods are disclosed herein for closing a patent foramen ovale. The devices are deployed at the foramen ovale to secure the septum secundum and septum primum together, thus sealing the foramen ovale. Disclosed are devices that may be inserted through a piercing in the septum secundum and septum primum to secure the septa together. Also disclosed is a delivery device to be used in connection with the devices and methods described. In some embodiments, the devices include an expandable member that secures at least one side of either the septum secundum or septum primum to secure the two septa together.

摘要： Disclosed is a closure catheter, for patching or closing a tissue opening such as an atrial septal defect, patent foreman ovale, or the left atrial appendage of the heart. The closure catheter carries a deployable patch (126) and a plurality of tissue anchors (90), which may be deployed to secure the patch to surrounding tissue. The plurality of tissue anchors of the closure catheter may be deployed into tissue surrounding the opening, and used to draw the tissue radially inwardly, to close the body cavity or opening. Methods are also disclosed.
