The aisle (120) is sealed such that essentially all of a cooling medium supplied to the aisle (120) passes through the racks (105). A bleeding opening (195) is provided at a top end of the aisle (120) for enabling a bleeding of the cooling medium out of the aisle (120). In one embodiment, a sensor (such as a temperature sensor) may be arranged to determine a medium flow direction through the bleeding opening (195). A signal generated by the sensor may be used to control at least one parameter of the cooling medium supplied to the aisle (120).

摘要： A system and method for cooling a rack is provided. The system comprises a constellation of racks that form an aisle between them and all cooling air supply sides of all racks face the aisle. The aisle is covered on top and at both ends against leaking air. Cooling air enters the aisle from below. In a method for controlling a temperature inside a rack, cooling air of a fixed temperature is advanced towards the cooling air supply side of the racks and it is determined, whether a turnover of cooling air through the rack corresponds to a turnover of cooling air through a conveyor, which delivers the cooling air towards the rack.
