    • The invention describes a corrugator device for shaping thermoplastic corrugated pipes out of a molten plastic tube which emerges from an extrusion device, comprising moulding jaws 1.1 to 1.6 which are guided so as to circulate in a linear moulding section 10 and are arranged in pairs one behind the other so as to form a moulding passage in the moulding section 10, wherein the pairs of moulding jaws are formed from left-hand and right-hand moulding jaws 1.1 to 1.6 and between them surround a cylindrical mould cavity in order to form the moulding passage, and comprising grippers 2 for guiding the moulding jaws 1.1 to 1.6 from the end of the moulding section 10 back to the start of the moulding section 10. A mould release device, which has at least one motor-driven rotary disc 3, is arranged at the end of the moulding section 10. The motor-driven rotary disc 3 has a first driver 31 and a second driver 32 which are arranged such that the distance between the first driver 31 and the central rotational axis of the rotary disc is smaller than the distance between the second driver 32 and the central rotational axis. As a result, at the beginning of the mould release operation, the first driver 31 acts on the moulding jaws with the smaller lever arm and then, during the mould release operation, the second driver 32 acts on the moulding jaws with the larger lever arm.
