    • A laser cutting head (1) powered by a laser emission apparatus by means of optical transmission means and associable with a cutting machine tool is described. This laser cutting head comprises collimation means (2) to collimate a laser beam coming from the laser emission apparatus, focusing means to focus a collimated laser beam coming out from the collimation means (2) and a casing (4) to house and contain the focusing means, which comprises at least one focusing lens and support means to house and hold the focusing lens and movable along an adjustment direction within said casing (4) so as to change a focal point of the laser beam leaving the focusing lens. Further the laser cutting head (1) comprises a cooling unit (10) fixed to the casing (4) and thermal conductive means arranged to connect the support means to the cooling unit (10) so as to extract by thermal conduction from the support means and from the focusing lens heat generated by the laser beam passing through the focusing lens.

    • In a system for the control of the quality of a laser cut or perforation, comprising means (4) to focus a laser beam (1) onto a cut or perforation zone, photodiode sensor means (7) to detect the radiation (E) emitted by the cut or perforation zone, and a control and processing electronic unit (8) to process the signals emitted by said sensor means (7) an optical filter (11) is provided that is associated with said photodiode sensor means (7) to select an optical band around 620 nm. The signal coming from said sensor means (7) is acquired with a frequency comprised between 10 and 60 kHz and filtered with a band-pass filter between 7 and 16 kHz. In this way the control of the quality of the cut or perforation can be carried out on the basis of the sole signal thus processed, without the need of a comparison with the predetermined reference signal corresponding to a good quality cut or perforation.
