    • The subject matter of present invention relates to a novel ecologically safe plastic film and a process for the preparation of same, comprising 10-60% starch, 5-20% of a coupling agent, 20-90% of stabilizing agent and 20-60% of a gelatinizing and plasticizing agents w/w of starch and water and 2-10 phr of oligosachharides by the process steps of mixing the components of the composition; compounding the mixture in a compounder to form a molten strand; solidyfing the said molten strand by decreasing the temperature; cutting the said solid strand formed with a knife; granulating the solid strand; feeding the granulated polymeric strand to a hopper; passing the said granulated through an extruder barrel at an elevated temperature to melt the molten plastic; passing the molten plastic through a braker and screen plate followed by passing from die; extruding the molten plastic followed by providing air pressure through a mandrel; cooling the molten plastic by the cooling rings and cutting the solidified plastic film thus formed.

    • The present invention relates to a process for treatment of waste water, for purification thereof, comprising causing ascending flow of the waste water under treatment, through a column (2), made of plastics, having composite electrodes (7) immersed therein, the anode of the said electrodes being constituted by combination of iron and aluminium, while the cathode being constituted by iron alone, the said column being provided on its top with a hopper-bottom receptacle made of plastics (3), so that on energisation of the said electrodes, the ascending flow of the waste water is subjected to electrochemical reaction, whereby the impurities in the waste water are separated and are drained out from top of the column, followed by filtration (10) of the water, so purified, by passing it through a filter medium (11), and, optionally, if so required, spurging sub-microscopic bubbles of air in upward direction through the column, in the course of electrolysis of the waste water, for carrying the suspended solids in the waste water, under treatment, upwards, so as to be drained out through the outlet (5), provided on top of the column.
