A system for determining the concentration of at least one analyte in a fluid sample having a plurality of analytes includes a base substrate, a first electrode pair disposed over the base substrate, and a first sensing chemistry responsive to at least one analyte in the sample. The first sensing chemistry is in electrical communication with the first electrode pair, and a first chromatographic layer is disposed over the at least one sensing chemistry. At least one analyte of the plurality of analytes moves through the first chromatographic layer at a different rate relative to the movement of other analytes of the plurality of analytes.
