    • The invention relates to a device for protecting a motor vehicle from an unauthorized opening, particularly of the vehicle door, inside of which a locking device (1) is integrated that is provided with a locking cylinder (3) located inside a system housing (2). Said locking cylinder consists of a cylinder core (5), which is rotationally mounted inside a cylinder sleeve (4) and which comprises spring-loaded tumblers (6) mounted in a manner that enables them to be radially displaced. During locking, these tumblers extend through the locking device (1) whereby entering corresponding channels (7) of the cylinder sleeve (4). The rotation of the cylinder core (5) about the axis (9) of the locking cylinder (3) via a longitudinally extended connecting part (10), which is interactively connected to the cylinder core (15) in an indirect or direct manner, is transferred to the locking mechanism of the locking device (1). The invention provides that the locking cylinder (3) and thus the cylinder core (5) with its longitudinally extended connecting part (10), which is interactively connected to the locking mechanism, is essentially unchangeable when acted upon, in particular, by a large externally originating force (F1) suddenly acting upon the locking cylinder (3) in the axial position thereof by a mechanical blocking element (14) that prevents an inwardly directed axial displacement of the locking cylinder (3).
