摘要： An inhaler (1) comprising a housing (2) to receive a plurality of blisters (6a) each having a puncturable lid (6c) and containing a dose of medicament for inhalation by a user is disclosed. It comprises a mouthpiece (5) through which a dose of medicament is inhaled by a user, an actuator (3) and, a cap (4,43)coupled to the actuator. The cap is rotatable to sequentially move each blister into alignment with a blister piercing member (9,10,11) and the actuator is operable, in response to rotation of the cap, to cause the blister piercing member to puncture the lid of an aligned blister. When a user inhales through the mouthpiece, an airflow through the blister is generated to entrain the dose contained therein and carry it out of the blister and via the mouthpiece into the user's airway.

摘要： An inhaler for delivering a preferably powdered formulation from a blister strip having a plurality of blister pouches. In order to achieve a compact simple construction for the inhaler and an easy action for the blister strip, the carrier extends over a circumferential angle of the inhaler of less than 360°. In particular, the carrier is guided between two deflectors with an at least substantially constant curvature, and preferably, exclusively along an outer wall of the inhaler. A conveying device of the inhaler has four drive wheels of the same diameter which are arranged on a common radius and are driven by common drive means in the same direction of rotation.

The housing includes a chamber into which used blisters are fed by the indexing wheel.

摘要： An inhaler (1) comprising a housing (2) to receive a blister (6a) having a puncturable lid (6c) and containing a dose of medicament for inhalation by a user is disclosed. It comprises a mouthpiece (5) through which a dose of medicament is inhaled by a user, a blister piercing member (7) comprising at least two discrete piercing heads (9) operable to pierce a corresponding number of holes in said blister, an actuator (3) comprising an arm pivotally mounted to the housing at one end, and an opening formed in the vicinity of each piercing head. At least one of said openings forms an airflow inlet into said blister and, at least one other of the openings forming an airflow outlet from said blister. The mouthpiece includes a primary chamber (31) having an outside air inlet (34) in communication, via the primary chamber, with the or each airflow inlet opening and, a secondary chamber (32) in communication with the or each airflow outlet opening. When a user inhales through the mouthpiece, air is drawn through the or each airflow inlet opening into the blister via the outside air inlet and the primary chamber to entrain the dose in the airflow, said entrained dose passing through the or each airflow outlet opening into the secondary chamber of the mouthpiece from where it is carried into the user's airway.
