摘要： A female housing (20) is provided with a terminal accommodating portion (21) for accommodating female terminal fittings (24), a rubber ring (33) to be mounted to the inner circumferential surface of a receptacle of a male housing (10) to be connected with (20) is fitted on the outer circumferential surface of the terminal accommodating portion (21) and a spring holder (50) accommodating coil springs (60) provided with spring pressing members (59) at their front ends is mounted between the terminal accommodating portion (21) and an outer tubular portion (23). The rubber ring (33) is movable from a temporary mount position where a clearance is formed between the inner surface thereof and the outer surface of a locking portion (31) of the retainer (30) to a proper mount position where it is mounted or tightly secured to the terminal accommodating portion (21) over an entire circumference as the housings (10,20) are connected with each other. Before connection, the spring members (59) of the spring holder (50) are in contact with the rear surface of the rubber ring (33) located in its temporary mount position.

摘要： A lever-type electrical connector has matingly engageable first and second connector portions and a lever arm (31) rotatably mounted at an outer surface of the first connector portion (20). The lever arm has a cam groove (40) extending in a plane perpendicular to the axis of lever arm rotation. The second connector portion (10) has an outwardly projecting follower pin (44) which follows the cam groove to draw the connector portions into mating engagement when the lever arm is rotated with the pin engaged in the cam groove. The lever arm also has a flange portion (45) and the second connector portion has a cover portion (47A, 47B) which overlies at least a part of the outwardly facing side of the flange portion (45) when the lever arm is rotated with the pin engaged in the cam groove, thereby preventing the lever arm from moving outwardly along its axis of rotation.

摘要： When a connector housing 20 and an equipment connector 10 are correctly joined, a regulating groove 24D of a retainer 24 of the housing 20 fits with a rib 16 of the equipment connector 10, thereby allowing the two housings 10 and 20 to be fitted together. The position of groove 24D may be varied to suit different positions of rib 16, thereby permitting a common connector housing to be made suitable for a specific equipment connector having an appropriate rib. The shape of the retainer 24 is simpler than the shape of the housing main body 21. Consequently, the cost of the mould for the retainer 24 is lower.
