    • A timing generator includes a frame rate information receiver, a display control section, and a determination unit. The frame rate information acquisition sectionis configured to receive information indicating a frame rate of an image sensor. The display control section is configured to output dot clocks in a first cycle to a display which includes a counter being configured to count the number of the dot clocks for a synchronization period, where the dot clocks are a synchronization signal. The determination unit is configured to determine whether or not the number of the dot clocks in the synchronization period is expected to exceed a predetermined number, where length of the synchronization period is based on at least the frame rate of the image sensor. The display control section is configured to switch from the first cycle to a second cycle, if the number of dot clocks is expected to exceed the predetermined number.
