    • The present invention relates to a method and a system arranged for the control of an engine speed ω e for an engine in connection with play in a powertrain in a vehicle. According to the present invention, a current rotational speed difference Δω pres is determined between a first end of the powertrain, rotating with a first rotational speed ω 1 , and a second end of the powertrain, rotating with a second rotational speed ω 2 .
