摘要： The present invention provides an apparatus and method of transmitting/receiving a signal supporting a plurality of code rates in a communication system using a block LDPC code. The child parity check matrix used for encoding/decoding includes a plurality of parity blocks comprising permutation or zero matrixes in order to facilitate encoding. Furthermore, the used child parity check matrix has an extended structure of a parent parity check matrix. Puncturing can be employed in order to obtain more code rates. Hence a parent codeword, a child codeword having code rate less that the code rate of the parent codeword, and a child codeword having code rate greater than the code rate of the parent codeword can be generated by only using the child parity check matrix.

摘要： A transmitting apparatus and method, and a receiving apparatus and method are provided. The transmitting apparatus includes: an LDPC encoder configured to perform encoding on data including information bits; and a bit interleaver configured to perform interleaving on the information bits and parity bits generated by the LDPC encoding, wherein the bit interleaver is configured to classify the generated parity bits into a plurality of groups and write the information bits and the generated parity bits in a plurality of columns in a column direction such that parity bits included in a predetermined group among the plurality of groups are arranged in predetermined positions (e.g. in the same row) in the plurality of columns, to perform the interleaving. The used LDPC codes are those of the DVB-T2 standard and the parity bits belonging to the predetermined group are parity bits that are arranged at a preset interval (a q-interval) within the code sequence and thus have, due to the structure of the DVB-T2 LDPC code, low correlations amongst each other. Then parity bits within one predetermined group having low correlations are included in the same modulation symbol to be mapped on the same OFDM symbol.
