摘要： A method for separating a green sand mold and an as-cast product which comprises surrounding gas-tightly a green sand mold without a mold flask having been supplied with a melt and aspirating steeply the inside of a structure surrounding the sand mold gas-tightly so as to reduce the pressure thereof to a pressure of -200 mmHg as expressed in gauge pressure or less within a period of 0.5 seconds and to a pressure of -360 mmHg or less finally, thereby reducing the boiling temperature of the water being present within the whole green sand mold including a condensed water layer formed around the as-cast product in the green sand mold, to bring this water to boil, which results in the break of the green sand mold and in the separation from the as-cast product. After the break of the sand mold, the above structure is brought back to an ordinary pressure and the as-cast product is taken out. The method can be used for securing the separation of an as-cast product from a green sand mold and the break of the green sand mold.

摘要： A method and device for processing collected sand, which facilitate moisture adjustment and addition of a binder, for reclamation for use as casting sand, which prevent castings from being defective when made by a main mold using the reclaimed casting sand and whose sand collecting means is compact. Such method and device are implemented by separating a green sand main mold, after casting, into portions unaffected and affected by the molten metal heat, moisture-adjusting the portion unaffected by molten metal heat for use as facing sand in the next main mold making, and applying binder-addition and moisture-adjustment to the portion affected by the molten metal heat for use as backing sand in the next main mold making.

摘要： A method and device for taking out a casting material, without damage to it, from a molten-metal-poured green sand mold. The method which is a method of separating a casting material from a poured green sand mold, and which includes a step of carrying upper and lower green sand molds having molten metal poured thereinside from a casting material casting line to a specified location, a step of airtightly enclosing within a chamber at least one of the upper and lower green sand molds placed at the specified location and the casting material in the one of the molds, and a step of depressurizing the chamber to lower a boiling point of water in a water condensation layer in the above at least one of the molds and boil the water in the water condensation layer, and thereby breaking down the one green sand mold to separate it from the casting material.

摘要： A method of accurately measuring the size of a mold, by using a laser measuring instrument. The method comprises a first step of directing a laser emission portion of a laser measuring instrument to the inner surface of a first corner portion of the corner portions of a mold whose size is to be measured, at a suitable angle of inclination, moving the laser measuring instrument relative to the mold in a direction substantially parallel to the mold surface so as to continuously measure the portion near the first corner position, expressing two arbitrary measurement values inside a first measurement surface using x-y coordinates on the basis of the measurement values relating to the first corner portion among the measurement values so obtained, determining a relational formula between these two coordinates values as a regression line by the method of least squares, similarly determining a relational formula relating to the x-y coordinates values of two arbitrary measurement values on a second measurement surface which forms the corner portion with the first measurement surface as a regression line by the method of least squares and calculating the intersection of these two regression lines as the first corner position, a second step of calculating the second corner position in the same way as the first step, and a third step of calculating the distance between the first and second corner positions.
